??? staking, voting and tagging with PALNET and STEEMLEO

Hi community,

I have to say I still do not get how this works. So I understand that if I stake the PAL and LEO tokens I have voting power in this tokens and whenever I vote on steem, PAL and LEO tokens will be distributed to the voted post and the curator 50/50 dependent on my voting power in addition to everything what happens on steem /steem tokens anyways... But what is using the tag palnet and tag steemleo good for? "only" to hope for additional votes of the palnet and steemleo orgs or community? Or is the tag necessary to receive any pal / leo tokens at all? What would then happen if I by chance vote only for content neither containing palnet not steemleo tag?
