My end of season review - Did I make it out of GOLD I??

It's the obligatory "end of season" reward card review....

I had high hopes that last season was going to be the first time I climbed back in to the DIAMOND leagues! I've been a busy little boy, saving my DEC and buying up the available summoners, in an attempt to make them up to lvl 5, so I can "unleash" the special abilities my Monsters have. For the past few seasons I've always bottle-necked in GOLD I and struggled to make it anywhere near the top.

This season however, with the addition of a few key summoners (at lvl5), I was able to make my way slowly but surely up through the leagues and found myself sitting comfortably towards the top end of GOLD I. I had just completed my final DQ of the season and it left me on 2755 points, just 45 points shy of making it out of this league.

"NO PROBLEMO!!" I thought to myself, I'll finish this off first thing in the morning when their are less competent players online to stop me. You see, timezones do play a factor in the number of players online and the standard of decks being played. I've found the best times for me to play here in the UK is either really early (05:00 - 07:00) or mid afternoon (15:00 - 17:00), I tend to win most of my matches between these times.

So that was my plan, but like most well laid out plans, it all went tits-up and I totally misstimed the end of the season and never got a chance to play out the last games...... I can't tell you how annoyed I was!! I was actually confused when I logged in to finish my climb to DIAMOND only to be greeted with my end of season reward cards:

OK, so there are worse things going on in the world than picking up 30 reward cards.

So let's see if my lucky run of gold foil cards holds up:

So I did get my GF fix, but some how it doesn't feel like enough.... I do love the excitement of flipping over the cards, and my end of season just wasn't enough to satisfy me, so I thought I'd purchase an orb:

My gold streek continues! Another Molten Ogre to add to the stockpile of GFs.

OK, I think that's enough cards for today.... Oh no wait, I've still got to go complete today's DQ. Watch this space to see if my golden luck continues.
