Yesterday Bank of Canada governor Stephen Poloz announced that the Bank of Canada will be launching public consultations about who should appear on the new bill.

Here is the clip from his presser in Vancouver yesterday.

This was done with the $10 bill a couple of years ago and lead to the new $10 with civil rights activist Viola Desmond.

I live in the US so will not be able to participate but I like the idea and I wonder how the voting works. Do they give a choice of a few people or is it opened to anyone and the person with the most votes wins?
