📌 Weekly results in the Duyunov Engines project

When the first serial engine SovElMash will be released, and how the project copes with the consequences of the global economic crisis, we talk about key events of the last seven days.

The first batch of asynchronous motors with combined windings, developed at SovElMash by order, is almost ready for shipment. The team of Dmitry Duyunov was faced with the task of making for a large Russian industrial enterprise, first one modification of the IP65 traction motor, and later the second. But SovElMash employees fulfilled the plan by 200% and created two engine modifications at once, both of which have already been tested. Shipment of the first batch will take place before the end of March, and in the future descriptions and prices of new engines will appear on the sovelmash.ru website, and the motors can be purchased at retail.

Meanwhile, the company has already received requests for the development of traction engines of greater power. SovElMash equipment does not yet allow to carry out all the technological operations required for their manufacture, and employees are too busy with the current order. Nevertheless, preparatory work has begun: documents are being worked out, equipment is being prepared. The first order for an engine with a capacity of over 100 kW is planned to be taken in the next quarter of this year.

In China, after a break caused by the coronavirus epidemic, the plant resumed operation, at which components for general industrial engines SovElMash were to be manufactured. Negotiations are underway with Chinese partners on delivery times. Soon, the world's first industrial engine with combined windings of the 100th dimension of the energy efficiency class IE4 will be available for order, information about which will also appear on the company's website. Now all the accompanying documents to it are being formed: a passport for the engine, an instruction manual, a brief technological instruction. In addition, common industrial motors are preparing for certification, for the passage of which you will need a whole batch of these engines.

We note: the construction of the engineering center has not yet begun, and SovElMash has already begun small-scale production of its own engines! As promised: before the expiration of three years from the start of the project.

The main events in the world could not affect the international project “Duyunov Engines”. Due to the coronavirus pandemic, SovElMash had to postpone the production of the first batch of common industrial engines with Slavyanka at a Chinese plant. Restrictions on passenger flights and cargo transportation, the quarantine regime in many countries became the reasons for the transfer of a number of project activities. The opening of a national representative office in Indonesia, scheduled for April, was delayed. The conferences of “Duyunov Engines” in Latin America, which were to be held in a number of cities in Colombia, Peru and Mexico, were postponed indefinitely.

The financial crisis exacerbated the collapse of the ruble and stock markets. The sharp increase in the dollar made it difficult for Russians to invest in the project. Caring for investors, we fixed the exchange rate at 67 rubles per 1 dollar so that project participants paid their installments and acquired investment shares at the usual cost. The fixed rate will be valid until March 20 inclusive. How the situation will develop further is difficult to predict.
