Cryptocurrency vs Gold: No competition

Can you use gold in unbanked jungles and other areas for easy secure trade and wealth storage? Can you program democratic and economic systems into gold? Can you put apps on gold? Can you store human history and science on gold? Can you put patents and contracts on gold? Can you program your gold to tell you it loves you? Can you make your gold work for you? Can you make gold create tokens of value?

You can create gold out of other elements, and with technological innovation this will become easier, making it useless as a supposedly limited resource.
Gold is only useful as something to wear and trade to get you across the Russian border during the great collapse.

The above are my thoughts on the defunct gold vs crypto debate. Gold used to be cool, but now its back to school. What do you think?
