The Mets ended their latest losing streak at three games and left the West Coast road trip at 3-3 which is not bad considering they beat the Dodgers 2 out of 3 to start the road trip. Lindor had a great game, and he needed it. He hit two homers today. Now they go home to play the Cardinals with JD Martinez finally making his New York Mets debut!
When it comes to the controversy at the end of the Knicks/76ers game, I understand that the NBA is owning up to the fact the refs blew calls at the end of the game that benefited the Knicks, but hey, it's the playoffs and the Knicks, never gave up and they were losing the whole game. Sixers let them get back in the game and the tenacity of the Knicks won out. I'm sure bullshit calls will go against the Knicks in Philly.

The Mets are en fuego. They win another one and have won 9 out of their 12 games, they are above 500 for the first time this season and have won FOUR series in a row. All this after starting the season 0-5. Again, I know they don't have enough to go the long haul this season but I want to see them have competitive season to keep ups fans optimistic about 2025 and beyond.
Caitlin Clark and a few other badass players were drafted tonight and have the opportunity to take the WNBA to a level it has yet to get to. Tonight was the first time they charged for folks to attend the draft. It's also expected for the upcoming season games that Caitlin Clark and the Fever are playing will break ESPN and ABC for the sport. As bad as the Mets started the season at 0-5 going 7-3 since then has them in not such a bad spot. In other words it looked like they were going to be the White Sox of the National League early on. Now they are at least competitive even though they are still mostly excruciatingly inept offensively.

After getting the not surprising bad news (Julius Randle officially done for the season) and what surely will hurt the Knicks chances to get far in the playoffs they beat the Kings tonight. The had lost three games in a row and have dropped from third to fifth in the East so hopefully they can sneak as it will get tougher especially if OG is officially done for the season as well.
