Read "Multi-Image Uploader, Smooth Galleries, Social Media Contest Winner" on TravelFeed.io for the best experience

Last week we announced our default TravelFeed community along with more specific travel sub-communities and we're more than happy to report that we've already reached 235 followers of our main community and the number is constantly growing.

We also would like to share with you the collaboration with the folks at @ocd, which will add support to our niche communities. This comes along with @elsaenroute being assigned as our senior curator overseeing curation and only submitting the best content to OCD to receive up to three of their BIG upvotes a day! Thank you OCD for trusting and believing in our project. Our mission is to bring the highest quality content forward, always!

Now let's continue with some pretty awesome new features!

Multi-Image Upload

Uploading multiple images through our editors was possible before, but you had to select the images in your folder and then drag them over to our EasyEditor. Now we got a dedicated icon for it. Hit the + button to add a new block and choose the new mult-image upload icon.
Currently, we are limiting the number of multi-image blocks that can be added to one per post and within the multi-image blocks, currently no images can be deleted or rearranged, so if you want to have the images in order, make sure to save them with ascending numbers following the order you would like them to appear.

Give It A Try

Two New Ways To Display Photos

All images uploaded using the multi-upload block will be displayed as a gallery by default, imagine a slideshow with thumbnails where you can go back and forth between images. But you also have the option to change the view to the masonry, where we arrange the images next to each other in a fitting mosaic, combining vertical and horizontal images beautifully.

More Retired Tags

With the introduction of communities we're going to retire even more tags. Please thank #traveladvice and #foodoftheworld for their services but sadly they're not needed anymore. Please, from now only use the equivalent, younger communities via the drop down menu on our editors when crafting an article fitting these categories. Posts featured in our daily round-ups will be chosen from our new sub-communities instead of the tags.

Steempeak TravelFeed Community Badge

We highly recommend to our users to use Steempeak.com for everything Steem outside TravelFeed.io. And in case your have published a blog on TravelFeed.io before and joined our community, you will see that you're awarded with a beautiful TravelFeed badge on your @steempeak profile.

Place 1

Epic 475km Road Trip from Blenheim to Christchurch, New Zealand written by @nickyhavey

I have to admit, this was quite an insane road trip day even by my standards, especially as it was the middle of May and the nights were longer than the days. So I didn't have any time to waste, up at 06:30 and on the road to make the most of the daylight. If you like driving through mountains then you'll be at home here but please make sure you take some rest stops.

Place 2

Serengeti bush camp and safari written by @vcclothing

Over dinner we were briefed about camping in the bush. In a bush camp there are no fences to keep the animals out. So we have to be super careful when camping out here. No food in the tent! And if you need to go to the toilet during the night do it next to your tent.

Place 3

Rare dolphin sightings on the south Cape coast of Africa written by @julianhorack

Welcome to another edition of The Shape of The Cape, with your tour guide Julescape. In today’s exploration I was extremely lucky to be in the right place at the right time to capture some footage of a massive school of dolphins passing by in the peaceful and sheltered Plettenberg Bay.

Join TravelFeed!

Are you not on TravelFeed yet? We invite you to check out TravelFeed.io and to join over 1000 travelers on our Discord community. We’re also looking for one more curator to join our team.

We’re in Beta and continuously improve TravelFeed, meaning that there are still some bugs. If you notice anything or have feedback for us, please don’t hesitate to contact us on Discord, leave a comment or open a bug report on Github!

Consider Delegating To Us

Once we launch our token, there will be a generous airdrop to delegators. Your delegation does not only supports the growth of this incredible project, but also helps the entire travel community on the Steem blockchain. Our Steem Power is fully used for curation of the best TravelFeed posts. Feel free to use the following links according to the amount you would like to delegate to @travelfeed, or head to our Support Us page to delegate a custom amount with the click of a button.

100 SP | 250 SP | 500 SP | 1000 SP
2500 SP | 5000 SP | 10000 SP
15000 SP | 25000 SP
50000 SP

We'd like to thank every single delegator who believes and trusts in us. If TravelFeed becomes as successful as we are confident it will, delegating to us is probably the investment with the highest ROI on Steem right now.

Vote for Our Witness

You can support TravelFeed by voting for our Steem witness @travelfeed. By building our platform on Steem, we are supporting this amazing blockchain. In order to help other projects building on Steem, we are publishing large parts of our code base open source on Github.

If you want to vote for our witness but are not sure how to do that, it's easy: Head over to our Support Us page and hit the witness voting button to vote with Steem Keychain, or Steemconnect if you are not a Keychain user. Alternatively, use this Steemconnect link or head over to Steemit Wallet and enter travelfeed in the box.
