Read "Updates: New Curation System" on TravelFeed.io for the best experience

The year is winding down and we got a few more days left in 2019. The entire TravelFeed team hopes you had some wonderful holidays, either with loved ones back home or being on the road traveling. The holidays are probably the hardest time for solo travelers but it's also a great opportunity to make new friends in a similar situation or to reflect on the past months.

Our last announcement post of this year will be all about our new curation system and the way we reward submissions. We had to implement these changes since new users signing up through us are growing by the day, which leads to a growing number of articles we need to evaluate to keep our high standards of quality of articles we want to reward on TravelFeed.io.

But before we start with the announcement, Happy 2020 to all of our users. There is a certain sense of excitement for the upcoming year and there is no doubt that TravelFeed.io is steering into a bright future. We want to thank every single traveler using our platform, giving us feedback and spreading the word about TravelFeed. Then all the people who are supporting us, believing in our project by delegating to us or by voting for our witness; thank you!

And a big thank you to the entire TravelFeed Team, putting in hours of work, pushing ourselves to go further and to become more professional. It's just amazing to see how much we've grown in such a short time. Thank y'all (in random order):

New Curation System

With many more high quality travel articles submitted to us we had to change the way we're distributing our limited Voting Power per day. Currently we're not able to upvote some articles even though they meet all of our minimum quality requirements and we can see that this can be very frustrating to authors putting hard work to craft these articles.

So, the great news is: Every post submitted to us will get an upvote, given that the post meets our minimum quality requirements. And the upvote amount will double if you're submitting posts directly through TravelFeed.io.

Read about our requirements

More Upvotes

Every submitted post will get a quality score from our curation team and our daily Voting Power will be distributed based on that score. And yes, your upvote will double if you used our platform!

We have a zero tolerance policy for posts containing plagiarized texts, images or videos. We encourage you to only use your own content. We do tolerate to some extent images and quoted text linking back to the original source.

Curation Feedback

Once the new curation system is in place, every post will receive a feedback comment from us, to congratulate on the curaration and to give you some pointers on how you can improve your articles to achieve higher upvotes from us. Worst case comment though, is it to let you know that we blacklisted a specific post or even the entire account.

The new curation system will be in place on January 1st, starting a new decade of quality travel content.

How to Get Involved?

Are you not on TravelFeed yet? We invite you to check out TravelFeed.io and to join our over 900-strong community on Discord. We’re also looking for one more curator to join our team.

As mentioned above, we ❤️ Open Source: We are proud to make TravelFeed fully Open-Source, and support other communities on Steem who want to build on our code, which can be found on Github. We’re still looking for contributors who want to work with us on the future of TravelFeed. We’re in Beta and continuously improving the software, meaning that there are still some bugs. If you notice anything or have feedback for us, please don’t hesitate to contact us on our Discord, leave a comment or open a bug report on our Github!

Consider Delegating To Us

Your delegation not only supports the growth of this incredible project, but also helps the entire travel community on the Steem blockchain. Once we launch our token, the airdrop to delegators will be based on the amount of SteemPower delegated and your share of the total delegations for each day delegated. This means an advantage for early investors delegating now. Our Steem Power is fully used for curation of the best TravelFeed posts and we provide temporary delegations to accounts created through us, to help with resource credits. Feel free to use the following links according to the amount you would like to delegate to @travelfeed:

100 SP | 250 SP | 500 SP | 1000 SP2500 SP | 5000 SP | 10000 SP15000 SP | 25000 SP50000 SP

And again, we'd like to thank every single delegator who believes and trusts in us. If TravelFeed becomes as successful as we are confident it will be, delegating to us is probably the investment with the highest ROI on Steem right now.
