Tribes have changed the game in Steemit. It made Steemit more fun in many ways and like what my friend @cadawg said, it has made people's investment even more valuable. I was just with one of my Steemit communities and I was surprised that some members are not aware of what tribes are and what are the benefits of using some tribe tags that could earn them tribe tokens which can be traded to Steem or could earn them upvotes and many other perks.

You don't need to login to those tribe front ends, all you have to do is to use the tribe tags properly. There are tribe tags that are for general topics like Palnet, ZZAN and Neoxian, you can use them as your tags. I do not recommend using them as the first tag unless if the post really is about those particular communities. In the game of tags, your first tag must be the identifier of what your post is about really. Then the second to the 5th tag can be those general tribe tags. This will make that post appear in their condenser and you will be rewarded their tokens depending on your voters stakes. With @plankton.token, you will definitely have a reward of all those tribe tags you will use.

Some tribe tags are for general posts, but be careful with some tribe tags that are for specific topics, like steemleo is just for investment topics and ideas and RHB is just for reviews of just anything you can review on.

So, it's the same thing you have been doing for a long time in Steemit, you post good, interesting posts, just add tribe tags that are appropriate then you will earn more than just Steem, SBD and SP, you will earn tribe tokens!
