I recently read a good post by @edicted on market cap. In the post he eloquently explained what he thought was the folly of market cap as a valuation tool. I agree with his premise that using market cap to measure a companies value is like using a sharp stick to cut meat. It’s a poor substitute for true analysis.

When I look at Steem I am saddened at times by it being out of the top 40 on Coin Market Cap. I also am disappointed by some of the coins in the top 20 whose coin values are less then Steem’s, but whose coin number exceeds that of Steem by 100 to 1000 times.

In my humble opinion Steem is very undervalued, if you consider price alone and ignore th community, it’s utility, it’s scalability and it’s adherence to the five core traits of a cryptocurrency blockchain.

Considering developments like MIRA, HIVEMIND, Steem-Engine, twenty very active decentralized applications on the Steem blockchain and now SMTs and NFTs the value and potential of Steem is very great.

I believe Steem is a diamond in the rough and this is the best time to accumulate Steem whole the price is low for a coin which possesses so much value. But don’t take my word for it. Do your due diligence and compare.

Stay thirsty for knowledge my friends.
