We're just a few hours away from the day the first country in the world will be making Bitcoin as legal tender. It's a small country with not the best economy in the world, but it's a kick start nonetheless. I am excited about this thing as I am seeing cryptocurrencies more as exchange currencies rather than assets.

I have stated plenty of times on my blog that the mass adoption I'm waiting for Bitcoin and cryptocurrencies is having them used as they've been designed for. The past few years we've got to see that the valences of blockchain technology and crypto go beyond simple means of exchange, but that's a topic for another post.

Anyway, there's this initiative on twitter lately, the #7septemberbuybtc one, that encourages people to buy $30 worth of BTC in solidarity with El Salvador and I find it cool. Why $30, you might ask? Because that's the amount every adult in El Salvador will be airdropped, if they use the country's native wallet Chivo.

$30 is also a sum that almost anyone can afford to spend on around 60,000 sats, because that's what you get for that amount of money. I am in it. It's not just a solidarity gesture from my side, but also a thing I should have done long time ago, which is buying myself a few sats. I have only once owned Bitcoin and for a short period of time.

I'm all in alts and this is the second time I'm buying Bitcoin. This time I will not sell anything from this tiny amount though. Can't afford to send it off Binance, due to high fees($25), but at least I can say I own some Bitcoin too.

What about you, are you going to buy $30 worth of BTC as a solidarity sign for El Salvador, who's making Bitcoin legal tender tomorrow?

Thanks for attention, Adrian
