I quite agree with you. It's like all the game were waiting to throw their pack sales out there when the alt season was starting. When I look at alienworlds, I at least see a game component here. You have to think which tools work best, what strategy you want and probably there will be the second game where you can use the nft's that you mint while mining.

The same is true for Splinterlands. There is a game and the staking mecanismes help you to improve your chances to win.

I quite like staking and the mecansimes it brings with it but maybe I would call it something different than gaming. It could be another genre that could be called staking games ;-)
