Hi,

today I had a tough discussion with a friend about politics. We have different views, and he tried to convince me of his. I told that without any valid argument, I won't listen, and he did not have any. Also, I told him, that I basically don't care about politics, or at least that much to fight for ideas. Why? Because mostly it is pointless, as people stick to their ideas, just because they are their ideas, not because of right and wrong.

He was upset, but I've asked him what his latest project is doing with a van remodelling into a camper? Well, he did not have time for it, as he was chasing chimera politics. He was amazed, that we managed to hire 17 persons in under a year from scratch for my project.

I explained to him, that I check politics to see future developments. We lost a six figure contract for Ukraine and Russia, but managed to shift fast enough to fill the gaps. Here politics helped, even if they caused the headache at the start.

Now he understood my point of view. We are too small to try to change the world at once, but we can change daily our world. Our world matters the most, which some, with a more left view, will say that there is only one world. Well, not for me. I have my own, that I have to take care.

A couple of years, when I realized where to use the focus, everything changed. I can tell that there has been some resistance during this, by friends and family, but I did not care.

Not caring on opinions is a step towards your focus and the thing that matters to you.

So, how about you? Do you focus or do you lose time with nonsense?
