LEO Community

Hi,

the LEO community is one of the most active on the chain at the moment. This is mainly caused by some good whales that spurn interaction and push also the little ones up. Some, not all, like everywhere, but this some are showing how it should be done. One good factor is the 50% flat curation, where some whales have understood the reason for it. It is incentive the spread of votes, regardless of reward curves in other economic system. There is no perfect system, that is for sure, but this system shows results.

The curation model can be adapted all over on the chain and by this we will probably have a better distribution than pure snipping on potential high curation rewarding posts.

I like the output of this measure, as the community interacts and also interacts a lot offline, where are no rewards. Some things I like to avoid putting on the chain and are better in private.

Interaction

At the start of the year, I've chosen a target to have at least 5000 new comments on the chain in 11 months. I'm in here for 4 years and have crossed the 6000 comments mark, so this means to double my comments in less than one year. Why? Just because it spurns interaction. Interaction is always good in social media. This blockchain is one of the best examples for the attention economy that we live in. Of course, comments need to make sense. If they are just mindless remarks, they aren't fun, just the opposite.

As I've been busy the past 7 weeks, I feel that I'm slacking on the interaction, and need to change something in my approach. Yes, we have the shinning new #cubs on CUBdefi.com, but this is no excuse to slow down. The way to increase value is by user retention and interaction is a good way to do it. Here we need to help more the newcomers and guide them to avoid mistakes where they can lose the taste for the platform.

#projectblank will bring massively users, or at least I hope it, and a good training for this is more interaction. It does not hurt, just on the contrary, it improves the community.
