I finally bought Splinterlands Node license

I have been planning for the Splinterlands validator node license for quite some time and now finally I did it. I know that the current price is quite high and I paid approx $2k for 1 license. I was not lucky enough to buy this in pre-sale and thereafter I was waiting for a better SPS price so that I can get the license for a better price. It was my plan but after the launch of the riftwatcher pack, things changed all of sudden and all the licenses were sold from trance 1. Now with Tranche 2, the price has increased to 5k USD and if we buy with voucher tokens then there will be a discount of 50% on the price.

Currently, if you buy it from the shop then you will need to pay 35k SPS along with 500 vouchers. If we do a rough calculation then the price of SPS is approx 2.5k USD and 500 vouchers will cost approx 200 USD. So in total, the price will be approx 2700 USD. As I mentioned that the straight-away price is 5k USD whereas if we use vouchers worth $200 then we can avail of the discount but even with this we need to pay $2700. We need to note that there will be a daily reward for all the license holders and this way I will be able to accumulate more SPS.

Those who obtain Licenses for their node operations will benefit from special daily SPS and Voucher rewards (allocated specifically for License Holders) for as long as they own their License. Each Node License is a transferrable in-game NFT that may be activated once the Node Program is launched (target: Q4 2022). Licenses do not expire and are eligible to earn SPS and Voucher rewards indefinitely.

Now let's see also see the price in the hive-engine marketplace. Below is the snapshot of the recent trades that happened today and these are executed at the price range of 3902 to 4000 hive. As of today, the hive price is approx $0.50 so this values between 1951-2000 USD. I got the license for the price of $1951 and I think I have got it at the discounted price. I did all my homework before buying the license and then decided to buy. This is the reason why I did not buy from the splinterlands shop and this way I am able to save approx $700 and this is not a good amount. There is no difference in reward if you buy it from the hive engine or shop.

I have moved the license to my game account and now I look forward to the daily rewards. License is my long-term investment in the game and I will hold it for long. As of now, the node activation is not enabled yet and hopefully, this should be done early next year. There will be daily rewards in form of SPS and vouchers and I am not sure how much it will be so let's see what I get after a day.

I keep on investing in the game and hold multiple asses. Currently, I have cards, packs, lands, and now this SPS node license and I do this because I believe in the project. We know that this game is growing amazingly and the future is bright. There is a lot to come and many things are in pipeline so its the right time to accumulate more assets on the platform. I am also working to accumulate more SPS and trying to make it 100k SPS. I want to achieve the 100k SPS goal by the end of this year and hopefully, I should be able to achieve it. SPS is one of the coins that I am bullish on because I expect that this will grow exponentially and we have seen the same in the past. It has a very high coin supply but there are some ways that are also contributing to the burn and license sale is the biggest contributor. Everything that I invest on the platform is for the long term and I believe that this will help to generate a better passive income.
