Good morning to everyone , as you all know I have been fond of data and statistics from beginning and almost 90% of my posts are related to some or other kind of data .

Ultra wealthy - who are they?

Well Ultra Wealthy are those who have net worth of over 30$ million . These people come above very-high-net-worth individuals and high-net-worth-individuals.

Knight Frank survey

Knight Frank is a international property consultancy firm which has conducted the survey . The survey pertains to aviation in the context of COVID-19 .

As we all know almost all the sectors were badly affected due to Coronavirus and one of them was Aviation sector .

The COVID-19 pandemic had a massive impact on the Indian aviation sector in 2020 and major airlines facing losses and challenging times laid off employees, sent them on leave without pay, or cut their salaries.

Now in the view of COVID , the fear has escalated among the ultra rich and they are rooting for private aviation .

Ultra wealthy Indian are rooting for Private Aviation

In the context of COVID-19 when the ultra rich were asked if they prefer private aviation , here were the results -

  • 43% of them wanted to shift to private aviation irrespective of the cost .
  • 27% were less likely to opt for private aviation .
  • 30% said they would not change their preference .

Is 43% too much ? No if you consider what other countries ultra-rich said -

Other countries

UAE is the highest ( among the countries surveyed ) with respect to Ultra rich opting for private aviation .

Reduction in International Travel ?

When asked if they would reduce International travel in the view of the pandemic ,

This is not only the leisure trips ( vacations ) that we are talking about but also the business trips .

Asia Pacific

In Asia Pacific ,post-pandemic, 89% of Ultra wealthy stated they would reduce international business trips whereas 91% stated they would reduce international leisure trips .
