So I’m going to show my true age here. I’m a child of the 80’s era and a former latch key kid. And I am partial to the 80’s era including music and video games. Anything 80’s and I’m all for it.

I still to this day have my car tuned to eighties music. Depeche Mode and Duran Duran still spin in my car daily. Frankly most of today’s music is just trash. It lacks originality and has no purpose.

At least that’s my opinion. My most favorite aspect of the eighties era was the arcade. There was nothing like it. Exchanging your hard earned dollars for tokens was the best part.

Stretching your tokens was the most challenging aspect. The key to making your money last was to find the game you were most good at. Mine of course was Galaga. This classic was my game of choice.

And there was nothing like it. Taking out the aliens with my starship peaked my endorphins. Not to mention my Mountain Dew filled Big Gulp. It was a good time in my child hood.

Of course the game I avoided as a kid was Dragons Lair. If you wanted a soul token sucking game this was it. I always thought the graphics were great. The game play however was not.

Working with a short stack of tokens I always avoided Dragons Lair. Of course there were multiple arcade games that I adored. PAC-Man also comes to mind. It’s also a game that I still enjoy even to this day.

As they say good things must always come to an end. Many arcades are now shuttered. With mobile gaming and VR taking center stage much of the nostalgia is lost. Although there are a few arcades still standing many have gone the way of the dinosaur.

This nostalgia although lost always brings me back to my child hood. Although I live day to day with work/family I still long for the summer days of arcade and sugar consumption. And I believe this is why I actively pursue blockchain.

Gamification has become a center point of thought in my mindset. Aside from blockchain participation my non work hours have been filled with brain storming. Many of these activities are just thoughts and ideas. Ideas on how to make blockchain better.

Not only better but more fun as well. See I believe we are all kids at heart. Much of the nonsense in society can be changed. And I believe money is the key to changing it.

Money itself is just a symbol or tool. Tools themselves can be used for good or for nefarious purposes. It’s ultimately up to mankind to make these changes. So why not make blockchain money fun?

Turning the world into one giant arcade would be something else. Frankly, the world right now looks like one giant polluted shit storm. But this can be changed. And the key will be blockchain.

Games can unite people. It also can solve problems and even help with the learning process. The arcade economy can be built on the notion of abundance and peace. And it can make money fun as opposed to an enslaving mechanism.

Well, these are my thoughts for today. Time for another day at the office. Enjoy the day. :)
