So I love blockchain. As every user knows having access to wallets and function are important. Yet, things don’t always work this way. And sometimes things can get a little buggy.

Over the last few months I have been buying Wax token. I also begin to play Alien worlds and buying NFT’s. These mining NFT’s enable you to mine Trilium which is the in game token. Staking is also a function of the game.

However, over the last few days it has been a hot mess. Although the Wax cloud wallet has limited issues in the past Alien worlds is not ready for prime time. Script errors and server issues have been plaguing the system as of late.

Frankly, the game play has suffered in my opinion. Since I have limited time to play an hour of my available time spent logging in is a complete waste. Error messages are not what users want to see. Sometimes projects can be a victim of their own success.

Now I know eventually they will get it fixed. But the question is at what cost? In such a new space some people don’t have the patience to wait. As a dev team you should be aware of this notion.

Overall the Wax chain has attracted some big name collectibles. And my user experience has been rather enjoyable. I have purchased some of their collectible NFT’s as well. Many have risen in value.

This of course leads me back to the Hive ecosystem. We have to be ready when the user base increases. First impressions are very important in life. They are also important in the virtual world.

The Alien worlds mess should be a lesson to us all. When a project gains appeal the community and devs should prepare a seamless user experience. There is nothing worse then a site that does not work.

Error messages alone give an unprofessional impression. It also shows the adults that the kids aren’t ready for the spotlight. And you never know who is watching. Some whales will only give a minute of their time.

In my opinion things should just work. Blockchain is no different. When everything is on point the user experience can be phenomenal. And as a product happy users will return.

So I don’t know if I will continue to play Alien Worlds. I might wait until their dev team gets their act together. Obviously they weren’t prepared for the onslaught of issues. And I know things can get very technical.

Well nothing is perfect. But it makes me appreciate the seamless user experience I have had on Hive. Everything works as designed without the dreaded error messages. Things should just work...and in our ecosystem they do.
