Hot Coffee burns

Working early sucks.But finishing early leaves the rest of the day for me. :) Like many people my day begins with a fresh cup of coffee. Just the fresh brewed smell itself can wake me from a comatose state. Well my cup of choice is from Starbucks. Good coffee and better than most.

So what happens today at 6am? I get into my car with cup in hand and the lid bursts open. Nothing like hot coffee burning the $#*! out of my leg. Luckily my pants were thick enough to prevent serious burns. And a potentially litigious affair with Starbucks.

The cause of course was a creased cup. For whatever reason the cup had a crease which doesn’t allow the lid to seal. And this is not the first time this has occurred. However, it is the first time I was burned. I had a few close calls in the past.

I got a replacement coffee from my barista. While he replaced my coffee I mentioned the cup. But it went in one ear and out the other..even though my leg was covered in coffee. Hopefully Starbucks gets their act together. I’m not a litigious person since I work for everything that I have. But there may be some people who may not be so nice. Fix your cups!
