It has been a very long time since I did some upgrades on my dCity. For those who are wondering what dCity is, it is a virtual city building game built on top of Hive blockchain with the help of the NFT feature in Hive Engine. I did not pay enough attention to the game for the past few months. Since the game launched it has been a favorite one for many people. The main advantage this game gives is that there is nothing as such to play in this game. People can invest in the game and sit back and relax. Passive income keeps flowing.

So, after a long time, I was checking my city and decided to invest a little. I was not sure what to buy but I wanted to get something that was available for a cheap price from the market. My city is currently looking like the below. I get around 1300 SIM income per day and apart from that my ranking in the game is also giving me a little Hive every day.

I noticed that I had enough population that was not being used at all. I thought it would be better to purchase something that requires more workers and ended up buying Schools and Gym. I'm not sure if purchasing Gym for the city is a good investment right now or not but I guess it is good because it at least reduces the crime rate in the city.

I already had lots of Gym with me. In order to keep the crime rate low, I was continuously investing in Gym and Police station initially. I have a total of 19 police stations and 29 Gyms right now.

Apart from the above two I also wanted to purchase some Forest cards from the market. I know that they are not going to give any great stats but it will help in giving a good income. So the 10 cards I purchased from the market would give around 40 income.

I developed a website called www.dcitystats.com to show some stats from the game for the investors and also to list out all the market activity and other activities by the players. The website is not working right now. I couldn't find time to fix the website. I have to spend some time on that and fix the website. Don't know when I will be able to do it. That would give me a clear picture of my total investment and my break even.

In addition to the above, I also wanted to test my luck by buying some cards directly instead of buying from the market. I received the below cards.

I spent 4000 SIM on the first edition and another 4000 SIM on the second edition. I noticed that the ROI was not very great. I got some cheap cards. But that's okay because I hope someday this game would give a breakeven for the investment I made and start giving me passive income.
