Travel the World of Postage Stamps - Butterflies (1979) - Moth (Eulepidotis rectimargo) - Cuba 1979 - Michel Cuba 2397 - my hobby.

Greetings friends!

Some time ago, a new business appeared that began to gain popularity, this is collecting live butterflies and selling their dolls.

This is a somewhat dangerous business for nature.

Previously, people were more careful about nature, and with greater apprehension imported new species of insects into the territory of their countries.

For local insects, such a business can become fatal, because, sometimes, some species of animals and plants can begin to dominate and displace the natives from their territories.

Earlier, during my childhood, bright postage stamps from different countries could show me everything that interests me, including butterflies.

Only today, I can appreciate what I had then.

These are not just pieces of paper, these are particles of the countries where they were released.

Today I would like to present to you the first series Butterflies (1979) postage stamp issued on the island of cuba in 1979.

On this postage stamp, in denominations of 1 ¢ - Cuban centavo, we see Moth (Eulepidotis rectimargo).

A postage stamp allows you to see the appearance of the butterfly, and its Latin name, which, in the future, can help us in finding additional information about this insect.

Interestingly, Wikipedia does not say that this butterfly lives on the island of Cuba, it talks about the western hemisphere and lists the countries of South and Central America, the island part of Latin America is not mentioned.

I really like the quality of printing, for 1979, it is excellent!

Let's take a look at this postage stamp.
