Greetings friends!

*Yesterday, we wandered through the thorny, but wonderful world of cacti thanks to the guidebook, which was a series of postage stamps called "Cacti", issued on the island of Cuba in 1978, and today we have a chance to get into an equally prickly and beautiful world roses, which, with an imaginary similarity, is the antipode of the world of cacti, lol, and in this, we will be helped by a series of postage stamps, which is a year younger than the previous series in 1979 called "Flowers-Roses", originally from the same sunny country - Cuba.

*I said that roses and cacti are antipodes, the fact is that beautiful cactus flowers cannot please you with a wonderful fragrance. on the contrary, their smell is repulsive and resembles the smell of rotten meat, which attracts many flyflies to pollinate the cactus.

*When we talk about thorny roses, their scent is worthy of poetry. Probably, the scent of roses can be compared to the scent of happiness.

*I decided to choose a couple of photos taken by me. which will show us roses similar in color to those roses that we will see on these postage stamps.

*Roses, an inexhaustible source of inspiration for a photographer's work.

*So, on a postage stamp with a face value of 1 Cuban Centavo, we see a rose called Rosa rubiginosa.

*This yellow rose is a bit similar in shape to rosehip flowers. Its inflorescences are fully open. What's more remarkable about roses is that its flowers do not open immediately, everything, at the same time, no, some flowers fade, and, after them, new, young buds appear, which stretches in time our pleasure from contemplating roses and enjoying, their magnificent aroma.

I edited a photo in the program PhotoDirector, which I also installed on my smartphone. For my publications, I do not use stock photographs, it is fundamentally important for me to use photographs that I have made with my own hands for publication and I can name them - authorial work.
