Crypto earnings gamification on Hive blockchain

While the title might create the illusion that I am referring to blockchain gaming on Hive, actually I am talking about ways to motivate me to reach new highs and level up on this ecosystem by taking challenges and transforming my routine activities using gamification. The earnings that you can get on Hive blockchain are Hive - which can be powered up into Hive Power and used as an income stream through curation and HBD - Hive Dollar, the algo-stablecoin of this ecosystem that offers an impressive 20% APR. And my way of gamification the earnings on Hive blockchain is through ranking up which I track using HiveBuzz.

Sorting the data for my account @behiver resulted in the following positioning across the Hive blockchain holders:

  • HBD Savings: 159th place
  • Hive Power: 1132nd place

To gamify this I have set my mind to level up within Top 150 HBD holders and to Top 1000 Hive holders. That is within my sight and brings motivation to be active on the blockchain in order to reach these milestones. The revenue sources to get there are the following:

  • DCA mostly for HBD as with 20% APR it offers quite amazing returns for a stablecoin
  • DeFi on TribalDex on second layer tokens which I trade for Hive
  • Blogging, commenting and curation which provide both Hive Power and HBD
  • Gaming on Hive blockchain like Splinterlands, RisingStar, DCity or Rabona

These activities pull together and grow my Hive-related assets daily and hopefully, I will be able to reach my goals sooner rather than later. I wonder what's your take on this - are you gamifying your activities?
