Splinterlands is evolving iteration after iteration and one direction is to refine the functionality of the proposals from the SPS.DAO. While at the moment the proposals come only from behalf of Splinterlands, we are waiting for the next work in progress to be completed and to be able to submit users' proposals. Probably a fee will be incurred along with that in order not to spam the proposals space with trash and stupid things, but nevertheless, investors and users will have the power to dictate how the SPS.DAO funds will be used and split going forward. But until that happens, there are quite a bunch of proposals running at this point that should energize the entire Splinterlands space.

At the moment we have 4 Proposals running at once.

  • #11 Add SPS Rewards for Guild Brawls (87% FOR, might PASS)
  • #12 Price Riftwatchers Packs in DEC (43% FOR, probably will FAIL)
  • #13 Price Validator Node Licenses in DEC (32% FOR, probably will FAIL)
  • #14 Replace DEC LP Rewards With SPS (83% FOR, probably will PASS)

We can see that 2 proposals might PASS while the other 2 might FAIL. Basically, the community looks to support more rewards in SPS rather than DEC and also boosts the earnings by introducing Guild rewards in the equation. At the same time doubling up on LP rewards by replacing them with SPS shows a clear desire of the users. On the opposite side, we can see that further buying in the game with DEC are not preferred as SPS seems to have crowned itself as the cryptocurrency of the game. And as SPS is at the core of everything that happens in this ecosystem and beyond (provides also GLS airdrop on the Genesis League Sports platform), it is easy to understand for me the angle of the investors and users.

Lastly, I would like to see also a proposal for burning some Chaos Legion packs as I considered from the start a too big supply pushed on the market. I understand that Splinterlands need funds to develop and grow the game, but at the same time, the pack releases should be wisely sized in order not to harm the tokenomics. Because if that happens the players will run away and you will get stuck will million of packs worth nothing.
