I finally bought and opened crates in Psyber X

It has been a long time in the works, but I finally got around to buying more LVL tokens and in the process, boosting my total collection to 100K LVL tokens. So, right now, I'm only halfway to my target of 200K tokens.

Last I checked, holding 200K LVL tokens makes you eligible for a monthly crate airdrop. At the current price of LVL, I still have to invest another $85 range to get to my desired target.

Life hasn't been easy, particularly in the face of this bear market. My income has taken a hit because I live off crypto but notwithstanding, I still try to make the best out of the situation.

As I've mentioned on a number of occasions, I'm a big fan of the upcoming blockchain game title that's coming to Hive. The game titled Psyber X will be pushing the boundaries of play to earn and this will be live on Hive.

So far so good

Psyber X is a play to earn first-person shooter game that will be launching on Hive in the coming months. In an ideal condition, we should be getting our hands on it by the end of the year.

Anyway, before the gameplay, different aspects of the game have been slowly rolling out. One of those aspects is the PsyberX marketplace where you can purchase land and crates.

On top of buying LVL token, I also got myself one Psyber crate, so I can be one of the cool kids. Generally speaking, the marketplace works pretty well.

After opening the crate, this is what I found inside.

I don't think these assets can be used at the moment but it felt pretty good to actually open a crate. The process was quite similar to Splinterlands, which I presume that the PsyberX team worked closely with to develop.

Anyway, I browsed the marketplace to see what is available and I found some interesting deals. The price of items varied from a couple of hundred hive to thousands of Hive for different items of different rarities.

I've not been in the loop, so I have some catching up to do. I need to understand the different rarities in the game and how they'll interact with the gameplay.

So, after opening the crate, I ended up with a total of 9 NFT assets within Psyber X. Each crate costs $20 in the marketplace by the way.

I am going to test out the marketplace by putting one of my plots of land for sale, just to see how much liquidity is in the marketplace. I'll list it around the same price as the minting price in the marketplace, just to see what comes of it.

Psyber X is still in the works and there's still so much more to come from the project. The community is constantly growing and hopefully, that will increase the chances of the game being an instant hit.

I intend to hold all the assets I've gotten till further notice. Assuming the small plot of land gets sold, I will simply buy it back but generally speaking, it'll be some serious flipping profit.
