The next Chaos Legion Airdrop might not even come this year

Judging by the pace of pack purchases in Splinterlands, it is safe to assume that the general interest in Chaos Legion packs has dramatically dropped. This is evident in the fact that at the moment, each Chaos Legion packs sells at around $2 in the secondary market, against 4000 DEC per pack in the game.

At the time of writing, 4000 DEC is still a bit above $3, so overall, there's a huge discrepancy in the price.

The current situation with Chaos Legion packs makes me wonder if this is time to start considering them for future flipping. Then again, considering how brutal the bear market has been, it is not out of the question to think that the secondary market price per pack could drop even further.

The bear market also has the potential of dramatically dumping the price of DEC tokens and if that were to happen, we'll see the price of Chaos Legion packs drop further.

Stable price

I actually thought that at this point, I'd be seeing a rapid fire sale of Chaos Legion packs. Generally speaking, it kind of makes sense to slowly build the number of packs in your collection and flip in the future.

Just as with everything in life, I reckon that major Splinterlands investors probably have a war chest stored up to pounce on any Chaos Legion news that could be bullish for the collection.

For now, everyone is just watching the numbers and focusing on surviving the gruelling bear market. It is a very tough time to actually consider adding assets to your collection, particularly in the midst of the turmoil that we call the crypto market.

Nobody likes a bear market but with certain conditions in place, it is actually possible to scoop up more Chaos Legion packs in the process. Basically, if you hold stable coins and if the price of DEC drops considerably, one could simply just start stacking up a decent chunk of DEC tokens and push them towards buying Chaos Legion packs.

There's still so much more to come in this horrible market and I have to say, it is possible that things could even get worse than they currently are.

If you have some spare cash, I reckon you consider taking a punt on Chaos Legion packs and not get too sucked into the Rift Watchers frenzy without being properly equipped.

Chaos Legion packs are much cheaper and just like Rift Watchers gems, packs hold immense potential in the future. For now, though, the game continues waiting for that individual that will breathe life into it.

In any case, without a massive occurrence, it is very unlikely that we'll receive the next CL legendary summoner this year. Time will tell.
