Today is the power up day for September so I decided to participate in this event. Participating in some events are very funny. I tried to participate as much as possible because it makes me happy.

A while after powering up I got this message from Hivebuzz. That means Hivebuzz acknowledge my powerup. I will also get a badge for this power up. I have to wait until Power Up Day is over.

My badge would be like following image.

There are three benefits if you power up. According to Hivebuzz you will get the following benefits.

  • Strengthen your influence on the blockchain with stronger votes on content, proposals and witnesses.
  • Earn more curation rewards. The more Hive Power you have, the more you can potentially earn back
  • Earn "interest" by holding Hive Power. You will also earn HIVE passively at about 3% per year of what you currently have powered up so the more HIVE you have, the more you can earn from just holding!

If a lot of people power up during Power Up Day it will be good for the community. Hive price will also up a bit. Low supply means high price. Liquidity pool serves the same purpose but it can take out very quickly.

There is also a #lpud day at 15-Sep-2022. Be ready for it too.
