Steem has become a pool of money grubbers honestly lol every application is about huge profits for them while killing the token in the process it's become a money exit.
In a way hive is as well. People post on socials to either 1) Get more attention, views etc on their content or 2) To earn revenue. Hive lacks views but pays well the issue a lot of that pay gets removed and put into other things instead of why they should keep it or at least some of it and stake it.
A lot of marketing for hive is about getting paid for your content but there's not income stream so it's constant negative selling pressure with nothing core to back it like ad revenue.
