NFT Gaming - [Splinterlands](https://splinterlands.com?ref=bitcoinflood) - How to Maximize Investment

Gaming is fun, I do it daily but when you add in the aspect of making a real living to it well that's next level!

While this was the case for many years the income from crypto was rather low a few cents here and there but that all changed once NFT's exploded in popularity and Axie Infinity showed us we could earn a sizeable income just from playing games which has now sparked the demand of crypto gaming to new levels. Games like AlienWorlds, Axie, Splinterlands, and a growing list of NFT gaming, crypto currency gaming is taking shape.

In Splinterlands alone a $2,000 investment 3 years ago is now worth nearly $200,000 that puts it right up there with other top crypto earners. The difference, NFT gaming has purpose besides just making a ton of money and you get to keep these assets on the blockchain. It's asset building.

So how do you maximize your investment with Splinterlands today as the landscape has changed? It's important to know what's coming next so you can be ready for it BEFORE it happens.

Understanding The Assets Acquired In Splinterlands

There are three core assets you grow and build with Splinterlands at the moment. Those are

• NFTs (Cards, Land other items coming soon) *Earned though season rewards and daily quest rewards
• In Game Currency - DEC or (Dark Energy Matter) *Earned through season rewards, daily quests and rending out cards
• Governance Tokens - SPS or (SplinterShards) *Earned through Staking and a 365 day airdrop of which we are on day 18 **Soon these will be earned in a number of other ways just for playing the game

Maximize Results

Right now your goal should be to increase the value of your account as much as possible for point values. This will allow you to get a larger part of the 365 day airdrop but not only that by leveling up your cards you'll also be getting more loot chests and be able to place higher in seasons thus increasing rewards.

One of the lowest cost ways to do this at the moment is to buy credits in game via Paypal going to the shop and picking up potions called Quests. I wrote up a full article on this here

Simply put this will give you 5 extra loot chests per daily quest completed. This will give you DEC, Cards which can be combined to help you rank higher in seasons and other potions to help improve the chances of a gold foil or more rare of a card. All of these things help build the account to hold more points and claim you more SPS overall.

It should go without saying that completing your daily quest should always be priority. In most cases winning the 3 to 5 battles needed for the day will take you 20 minutes but some days can be longer if you hit a big losing streak. With the price of DEC at the moment however it really does make it worth it when you get into the higher seasons.
