Why I Spend Most Of My Time Off Of Hive

Hive.blog use to be my go to for posting but once I discovered LeoFinance and the better UI including wallet and just overall better usability I honestly really haven't touched hive in a while.

I believe Hive itself will soon become more of a background job system and nothing else. Much like today how we have windows yet everything still runs in the background on the old DOS command prompt.

The UI's are far superior, the attention to a central community for example LoeFinance is all about stocks, crypto and finances while something like BUILDIT would be more DIY projects and I seriously love that. Having central focus is important for any platform to survive. It builds a stronger connection and community. I know if I jump on LeoFinance I'm going to be bombarded with topics that are of interest to me and not something else.

The UI's and onboarding are much easier to understand while Hives honestly are clunky and remind me of the 90's web. That's not a bad thing! What I'm trying to point out here is that communities, games and platforms are the future of hive. We need more developers and more communities and there are a few people that are pushing towards this which honestly is a very awesome thing.

I have a number of ideas myself the issues are I have no real development team or people that understand blockchain. Instead I'm more of the marketing and idea guy. So here's a few ideas since I know I wont be getting around to them anytime soon.

Please feel free to take any of these ideas and run with it as building on Hive I feel is very important. For the growth and value of Hive.

Heck even POB ProofOfBrain is now worth more than Hive.

Idea #1 NFTs and Gaming

There is no reason why Hive can't have a NFT platform. In fact I believe one of the first was NFTShowRoom which is becoming more and more successful.

What I would love to see is something more along the lines of what wax has as a marketplace for Games. Splinterlands has a good UI for a market but what if you could explore all games, list NFTs on the market, track, having a beautiful easy to user interface etc for the Hive gaming community. Something along the lines of AtomicHub.

I always believed and still do that Gaming is one of the biggest entry points to get thousands interacting and using a blockchain. Just look at the number of users who use Splinterlands, CryptoBrewMaster, RisingStar, DCity and so on. Those markets combine create a good amount of value to Hive and keep things moving. Having a central platform where you could trade and see all of your NFT's would be amazing!

Idea #2 Communities

I've seen a number of communities on Hive but honestly like I said before I hate the setup of it. I feel those communities would do FAR better on their own website and token. Thus creating more demand, more use cases for hive and even generating ad revenue for the owners. Are you a leader of one of these communities on Hive? Then seriously think about launching your own website based off of hive with it's own token.

There are currently two I can think of right now that I would launch and build myself if I had the know how to do so.

Idea #3 DeFi

We keep tapping into all of these other blockchains such as Ethereum and Binance in order to attract people. But what if someone built a DeFi that works on Hive. Even though it most likely would be small it would still serve a purpose and help grow the DeFi space around here. Or is it the fact that Hive is no fees that's keeping this from happening?

I'd love to hear others ideas on projects they think would be cool to the Hive ecosystem. I for one am tired of the dev team getting hung up for months on HBD to be honest lol I'd rather see some real work be done that grows this platform. But I kind of feel the HIVE devs are going to be more back end devs while it's up to us such as LeoFinance, BroFi etc to create the interactive front ends and I'm ok with that but I'd rather see money from the DOA invested into real growth and not all this crazy crap as of late.

At the end of the day all anyone cares about is the price of HIVE. What got you started in crypto was it the ability to make money or did you like the decentralization of it. I'm going to bet you it was $ as $ talks.
