Talk about a group of people not being open to change. Teachers are the worst. They want to keep doing things the same way they always have and they can't wrap their minds around the fact that kids brains are different these days. The old way doesn't work 80% of the time like it used to. That is awesome the habit you are hoping to get the little one into. Proper journaling when you are older is such a good self care tool.
