It never ceases to amaze me the lengths that whales will go to to flaunt their "whaliness". Sure, there are some who just kind of hang out behind the scenes and keep a low profile. Then there are others who need to be front and center on the mind and tongue of every user on a chain.

In the case of Blue Wizard, it is definitely the latter.

My familiarity with Blue Wizard is related to the WAX blockchain. He has been making some big moves over there and had a recent run in with the law that drew a lot of speculation the likes of which I am not entirely familiar with. I have heard that there is an article about him that actually reveals his real name and discusses in detail each of the known things he is accused of.

From what I hear, he has since paid some hefty fines (what is really hefty for a whale? I don't know...) and is back to his old tricks throwing money around over on WAX.

More specifically, he has set his sights on the RPlanet game. Rplanet is a staking/crafting game that gained a huge amount of popularity when it first launched. People (including me) were staking all of their NFTs from various projects on WAX to earn an in-game currency called Aether.

At one point I was pulling in probably about $500 to $1000 USD per day in Aether that I was then converting to WAX. This allowed me to ape into a number of other projects over on WAX. Sadly, we could all see the writing on the wall and we knew that the supply of Aether was too high. Likewise, with people generating it out of "thin air", it was recipe for destruction and sure enough, the token is now worth a fraction of what it was.

Part of that is because the price of WAX has come down from where it was in May, but mostly it is because there is just too much Aether on the market. There was hope that the recent Robot crafting mechanic of the game would help return Aether to it's former glory, and to some degree it has, but as long as there is so much out there and people continue to generate a ton more each day, it is going to be a long road.

But Blue Wizard has a plan to change that. He recently shared his vision/plan/manifesto and I am going to share it with you here and give my opinion on it.

R-Planet
3 Year Plan 2021-24 Updated
10/14/2021

Stake All Nft possible (ongoing)

Build up 200 Lands if possible (current 40 all at level 100+)

Buy 20 million of each of the minerals:
20 million Red Complete 20 million green 20 million blue 20 million brown

Okay, sounds like a pretty good start. Some people have started to pull their NFTs off the platform for a number of reasons, but I think the majority (including myself) are still holding theirs there hoping the price of Aether will recover.

Building up 200 lands could be the biggest obstacle I see in this phase of the plan. Sure, there are a fair number of them available on the secondary market, but that costs money. Something Blue Wizard apparently has a large amount of. To upgrade the lands to level 100+ also requires a lot of time to create "elements" to use for the upgrade. This is the whole crafting part of the RPlanet game. People have created automated processes for crafting elements, but it is still time consuming. This point is going to be a huge time suck for Blue Wizard I think.

Generating the minerals shouldn't be too much of a problem. Especially if he has 200 lands. The lands generate those minerals based on the rarity of the land. Plus if you upgrade the land (as he intends), that makes each one generate more. He could buy those minerals on the secondary market like Alcor, but the price on them has recently went up a bit because they are directly used for robot crafting.

Additionally, if he has 200 lands and he chooses to upgrade them to UpliftWorld lands, he is going to need another 10m Aether per land to do that.

buy 2 trillion in Aether sending market up prior to launch of main game (after territory war and bots) Current 3 Billion )

Buy 10,000 each base element (Completed)

Given the current price of Aether, this one isn't very far fetched. 2 trillion is very big number, but with so many people minting Aether each day, it should be fairly easy to hit that mark. I think I generate something like 1m per day and I am a relatively small account.

As you can see he has already completed the goal of buying 10k each base elements. Those are used to craft higher elements which are then used to upgrade lands. I think base elements cost about 10000 Aether each to buy.

buy out all markets so people are forced to pay game and not cheat buy buying objects outside the game!

This one seems like a bigger ask. I know in the past people have successfully cornered the market on specific items, but doing it for a whole game seems like a stretch to me. I respect his confidence though.

Current : 2.25 M A/H

Objective By October 2021 1 million Aether per hour (completed)

Objective By November 2021 3 Million Aether per hour

Objective by December 2021 6 Million Aether per hour

Objective by Dec 2022 20+ million an hour

Objective by Dec 2023 40-50 million an hour

If successful in cornering the market, it isn't unbelievable that he could attain the goals he has set in this section. Remember I said that I was pulling in about 1m Aether per day. You can see here, he is currently pulling in 2.25m per hour! With an end goal of about 50m per hour. That is just nuts. Nuts, but totally do-able I think. Especially if RPlanet doesn't do something to limit the number of Aether that is being produced.

I don't know what the answer is. Perhaps a huge burn. At least some kind of incentive to burn. Maybe a general nerf to the staking rewards, but that still doesn't fix the problem of there just being such a high cap on the token count.

The team behind RPlanet is the same one behind Prospectors. I think they have a good track record of taking the long view and producing good quality products, but for this one it might be a case of too little too late.

Aether in my opinion has kind of become akin to the penny. Sure, they add up if you have enough of them, but no one really wants to bother with them anymore. Like ever.

Game objective
make a wizard colony grow it to a mega city
defend and destroy all invaders

Of course, he finally finishes with his end-game. Seems pretty reasonable and realistic given you can accomplish the previous things. I do think it is commendable that he has a clear vision and plan to move forward. If it works out, it could pay off for a lot of us who are mild to heavily invested in the game.

If not, it might just be another nail in the coffin of what could have been a really cool game.
