I woke up to some pretty exciting news this morning. It appears I have been whitelisted for the Travala NFT sale. There was a bit of confusion on my part about this NFT sale and now that the details are clearer, I am honestly more confused than ever.

I was mistakenly under the impression that the sale was happening Sunday morning around 2 AM my time. Thanks to the concert that my wife and I had attended, I was actually up at that time, but due to the recent market events, I wasn't sure I had the funds to cover the $3500 USD NFT price.

I had actually talked myself out of participating in the sale (if I did get whitelisted), and then this news comes into my inbox this morning.

It sounds like the NFT sale for Platinum members to move them up to Diamond status is taking place on February 9th. Still at 2 in the morning for me, but that isn't too big of a deal. If I choose to participate, I can always set my alarm or something.

As you can tell though, I am still on the fence about this.

Given the current state of the markets, I would have to take a pretty decent loss on some of my funds to move them around in preparation for this sale. One interesting thing I didn't notice before is the fact that I can pay with BNB from inside my Travala wallet. I had been under the impression before that this sale was only available on ETH.

This is significant to me for one key reason: If it was ETH only, I would need to liquidate a token I am currently holding that I have pretty much zero chance of ever earning again. Whereas on the BNB side of things, I can easily swap the TLM that I earn each week from Alien Worlds into BNB and eventually have the funds.

The only bad thing is given the current price of TLM I would need to swap about 35,000 tokens and at my rate of earning, it would take me just about two years to earn that TLM back. Which we all know is an eternity in this space.

I am sure @trumpman would tell me it is a no-brainer to try and pick up this NFT, but I am still not sure the benefits of holding the Diamond status are worth it.

The biggest reward is the Ambassador Bonus. With this reward 10% of the commissions from Travala go into a pool and that pool is split between the other 900 to 1000 NFT holders. The rub is the fact that you have to do marketing tasks in addition to holding the NFT to receive that bonus. I am not sure how I feel about that.

Most likely I will just wait until closer to Feb 9th and see if the price of TLM recovers enough that I can move what I need without depleting myself too badly.

A sudden bull run between now and then wouldn't hurt my feelings in the least bit!
