Reddit and Dubsmash

Hi Friends,

Have you heard of Dubsmash? I hadn't until today when I found out that Reddit is buying it.

Dubsmash is a TikTok type short video platform which has apparently been gaining traction. It seems to be outside of the scope of what I thought Reddit did, but they are looking to integrate it into the Reddit platform.

Wish I could keep up with all this, but going from MySpace to Facebook to Instagram to Snapchat to TikTok to Dusbmash, all while reestablishing yourself on each platform seems like a lot of work, which is probably why I still use aol mail ;)

Ok, so technology isn't my expertise but it is interesting to see Reddit try to stay viable in the midst of the ever changing landscape of the consumer's preferences. I personally have never liked the platform - hard to navigate, in my technology-averse opinion.

Do you think this was a good move by Reddit and do you like the Reddit platform? Have you heard of Dubsmash?
