Unum Group

Hi Friends,

The US capital markets continue to thrive, and got another 0.77% added on the S&P 500, which is up around +12% year to date.

I bought a VIX hedge a week or so ago, which is already down 8% as the market continues to shrug off any worries or bad news. But I have done particularly well as my portfolio is aggressive and I put a good amount in re-opening plays after select stocks tanked during the pandemic and related shut downs.

One play that I was surprised to get such a great deal on was Unum Group:

I bought a bunch at an average of $15 when things dropped in the coronavirus crash so it is up about 90% in a year with little risk of a drop. As it is, the PE ratio is 7 so the thing can easily double from the current price in the next year, giving a potential 4 bagger on this position, in addition to having a high dividend yield of 4.2%.

Of course, crypto has been ripping hardest in 2021, which has been awesome :)
