See, I totally understand why people set their filter up to only accept messages from friends, because I do get a lot of spam. I find that it's mostly people looking for invites to get whitelisted on new crypto projects...which I actually like, and I commonly ask them if they're willing to trade invites for invites. I do however get the occasional scammer trying to find a way to steal my keys. I'm confident in my ability to discern scammers and never click anything that would give them access to any of my keys, so I leave my filter off and let anyone who wants to contact me.
