If it's a custodial investment I say always get information around insurance and who custodies the money and accreditation documentation when handing your money over. If it's crypto make sure you own your keys and that the smart contract is open source so you can see what others are saying about commits
This info isn't obvious so we look at a lot of fluff to convince ourselves, it really sucks how these scams keep popping up
