It's very difficult to initiate in the whole crypto world in one day... At least, I think that is impossible for every normal human. The reason is that there is a lot of information and it doesn't stop growing and growing. New cryptos, new technologies, news about everything. It's overwhelming...

Another problem, at least for the Spanish speakers (like me), it's that all this information is available only in English. And if we aren't so skilled with this language, it will be a very steep learning process.

So, let's imagine some person, let's say, Will.

Will, he's a very cool person. He likes to hang out with his friends, talk with his family, play with his pets...

Someday Will, hear from a friend these words: "cryptocurrency" and "blockchain". That awakes his curiosity and asks for more information. He already read about this on the internet or the news, but he always thought it was some kind of freaky-tech nerd stuff.

Talking with his friends, he discovers that this world of crypto is more than he already believes. So he runs to his house, switches on the computer, opens the browser, enters the magical words and... BOOM!

A lot of news, brokers/exchanges advertisement, crypto-YouTubers, a tutorial page with a very confusing text full of hyperlinks with more specific information about ONE single word...

Then, our friend Will, take a break, smile, gently close his laptop and throw it through the window...

After awaked of this fantasy and discover he's still in front of his computer, he tried to think "How the heck I'm going to understand all of this?". Well, dear Will, there is not magical form to do it. Only the long, traditional, and very old way of learning. Step by step.

Take a look at this...

What you see here is your knowledge about crypto. Every single dot is what you know about one specific thing in the crypto world. Something you heard on tv, the internet, from a friend, and so on... The size of it depends on the amount of information or understanding you accomplished on that specific topic.

You may think "well, what I need to do is fill all the space available with all the information a got, right?"

Well, no... The problem here is that we have limited space for information and it's very difficult to increase that space. So we have to make more intelligent use of our resources. So...

You cannot put everything here.

This space is optimized for that information you care about. If you don't want to learn or have no interest in some topic, it will be very difficult to attach it. Focus all your interest on one single thing at a time.

Touch the surface.

If you don't know how to swim don't get into the deep. You don't need to accumulate tones of information about one topic, just with learn the "what" is enough at the beginning. "what is A?", "What is B?"

Create connections between your pieces of knowledge.

You have to think about everything you learn and figure how it's related to other things you've learned before. "What is the relation between A and B?"

Try to create your own answers. With the information you got, put your brain at work. Be creative and deduce things by yourself. You can make your research and see if you are correct. Maybe you'll be wrong, but you have to make this a habit. "If A and B are this, then C is..."

With time and patience, you will be capable to TRULY understand everything. Or to get closer to the answers...

Always remember:

There are no shortcuts, neither magical formulas.

Just being perseverant and committed to achieving your goals.

For instance, this is the first blog I write in English from scratch. Without using a translator. It took me some time, but I finally made it 🥳
