Today is the day of the Grand National.
for those who don't know The Grand National is arguably the most popular horse race in the UK.
It is debatable the most bet on horse race of all time with millions watching.
here are some facts to back that opinion.
An estimated £300 million was spent on gambling and bets for the 2017 Grand National
An average of 250,000 pints are sold during the three day Grand National festival
Over 600 million people tune in from all over the world to watch the Grand National on TV
The Randox Grand National is the biggest jumps race in the world making it A spectacle but also A controversial race because of the number of horses that have died because of the demands of the race.
What attracts me most about the Grand national is that "anyone can win" yes there are favourites but due to the very high jumps and A 4-mile distance things change at any moment.
Tiger roll who won 2 times in A row back to back was pulled out this year from the race, would it have been 3 back to back wins? who knows hehe.
the best horse ever though was Red Rum the most famous horse to date with an unbeatable 3 victories and a further two-second place finishes. The treasured horse died in 1995 and was buried at the winning post at Aintree Racecourse.

I don't gamble much because I don't get entertained by it I am more for just playing video games for entertainment but hey that's just me.
However, I do always put A bet on the Grand National A quick £2 bet on some horse doesn't hurt.
