We all saw this coming, advance privacy feature, Bitcoin Just Got Its First Makeover In Four Years

Bitcoin’s super highly anticipated upgrade, known only as Taproot, is now officially locked in and is set to take effect this coming November 2021. It’s the first upgrade in four years for the network and it’s been years in the making. Taproot enables a new method for signing transactions to the blockchain, a method which for the very first time allows new capabilities for smart contracts on the bitcoin blockchain.

As more programmers build smart contracts on top of bitcoin’s blockchain, there is also the potential for bitcoin to become more of a player in the world of DeFi, or decentralized finance.

This is nice news BTC looks to be on the right direction to hit 200k+
