Week 27 Results | 11W-20L-0P | -1.225 Units Loss

This is a weekly overview of my personal sports betting/trading results on teams from the Belgian Jupiler League documenting my journey toward long-term profit with some insights on my overall approach.

Week 27 was not my best even though I managed to get some crazy value on the early 1x2 market. I think I will start focussing a bit more on this going forward as there are many cases where the early odds by 1x2 books while Asian hasn't got their far sharper lines released yet. The match between Eupen and AA Gent really showcased this as -0.5 @ 2.30+ odds turned into a -1 @ 1.88 closing line on the Asian market. Most bets are really about small edges which also just shows for everyone that is keeping stats of their betting with the Asians with proper bankroll management over a longer period of time.

99.99% of sports bettors never get to a point where they have a long-term chart because keeping honest stats can be quite brutal since it shows reality. It takes a lot of dedication and discipline to beat the betting markets and there are a lot of ups and downs along the way. I managed to build a sample of 6308 bets over the last 4-5 seasons since starting my blog as a tool to keep me sharp and if produced a beauty of a long-term chart beating the Asian Market exclusively using Sportmarket Pro as my betting broker for +3.78% ROI which is slightly above what I realistically expect to earn. My first year was exceptional with fewer bets and higher stakes which made the pink expected profit line have a steeper curve. I hope to slowly but surely get that line going up again. Bankroll is not the issue as I could bet a lot bigger if I wanted. Limits, Confidence, and finding the balance having to bet smaller edges bigger increasing the variance are the main challenges to overcome.

I have stressed this many times before in the past how important volume is and how difficult it is to reach it deriving your actual edge. In the sample of 6308 bets which overall produced a +3.78% ROI, there is a break-even streak of around 3700 bets when stretching the top and bottoms a bit. This is perfectly normal also.

Pre-Game Preview Bets Season 2021-2022

I keep grinding the pre-game bets shared in the previews I'm making and they went 2.5W-3L-0.5P last week for just a slight overall loss. Anyone who managed to get in on the AA Gent Bet early on which I shared on the SBC Discord should have done quite well though. So far this season after 151 bets I'm up 3.594 units for +2.38% ROI.

I'm starting to think to just drop the idea to also take bets on Copytip given the fact that it's so hard with the limits and I rarely have bets anymore here I'm overly confident to take them in one go. I will see where it goes toward the end of the season. In case I do have bigger bets, I will share them also on the SBC Discord Channel the moment I get into them.

Season 2021-2022 Personal Betting Chart

I did manage to get my average stake up a bit but didn't manage to also turn that into a profit and I just hope the drop this week won't extend all the way down below the expected profit line again. For next week I will try to keep up the slightly increased stakes being a bit more aggressive on some spots.

It's nice to be able to say that I look forward to all the betting action next weeks as I still highly enjoy all of it which is one of the key requirements to also be profitable. So far the Results Update for this week and there will be another one 7 days from now.
