Things are going to get tougher for this year. In my opinion, the correct thing to do is to rebalance your portfolio. Just today I was commenting on this chart on a Telegram channel:

If we look at what has happened in the past with every interest rate hike by the Fed, gold has always outperformed. But if we look closely at equities, after the initial bump, they have continued their run. What do I mean by that? That the narrative of newspapers is aimed more at selling the news than the quality of the content, one day they say one thing, the next day another. I have read articles announcing the collapse of the stock market or the beginning of a new crisis as in 2008.

The year 2021 has been an exceptional year as 2020 has been, this has been possible thanks to government subsidies and expansive monetary policy and traders know this. That is why, in my opinion, 2022 will be a year to go and rebalance the portfolio.
