The world, specifically those who have not woken up to Hive, could be contacting you from all angles to ask you about Hive. Imagine you getting questions from your phone, emails, door visits, over lunch/dinner... about Hive!

If you recall how Bitcoin in its early days took the world by storm when its price rocketed from a mere peanuts-like price to the thousands dollar range, you shouldn’t be surprised how the same thing can happen to Hive.

That crazy and sudden price hike kickstarted tremendous interest in blockchain technology and its other use cases, such as Defi, NFTs and the likes. Suddenly the news are reporting, retail investors took notice of the cryptocurrencies market, and most people started buying Bitcoin and other worthy crypto assets.

The clear-minded among these people would differentiate Bitcoin from the rest of the VC-led crypto assets. They are the ones who knew about the value of decentralization, freedom from censorship, and most importantly, the pristine nature of Bitcoin as an asset. Basically, a result of no pre-mine, super fair distribution, and lack of leadership/owners/CEO.

The clear-minded among those who are reading this should/must now know that Hive is one other such asset (another one could be Litecoin, according to Taskmaster).

Fast Forward N years (N because god knows how long!), when Hive gets the media exposure for its pristine nature, people around you who know that you are into Hive could be asking you about Hive. You will be viewed as an expert in Hive.

Are you ready for that moment?

Frankly, your knowledge won't matter as much as how much Hive you are holding then.

The question is, what are you going to do with that highly valued Hive you had stashed away?

Let's just pretend Hive followed the growth behavior of Bitcoin. The price of BTC in the chart below at the extreme left (in 2016) is something like $400 per BTC. Assuming the floor price after that N years is something like $8000 per BTC in BTC terms, that would be about 20X appreciation. If Hive appreciates 20X due to people waking up to Hive, it will be about $8 per Hive from today's $0.40 thereabouts.

If I maintain my 10K HP, I would have stashed away $80,000 in dollar value from that pile if this scenario plays out.

While the $80K isn't going to be life-changing money for me, the most significant benefit I would have gained is the vote power that $80K worth of HP would bring me.

While the $80K isn't going to be life-changing money for me, the most significant benefit I would have gained is the vote power that $80K worth of HP would bring me.

This point above is too Important Not To Re-Emphasize!

In today's terms, with Hive at $0.40, my 10K HP is worth about $4000. With that, the maximum vote value per vote is about $0.40 cents at 100%. If Hive appreciates by 20 times, i.e., HP is worth $80,000 from $4000, the value of my vote at 100% then should be approximately $8!

Let that sink in for a bit.

Assuming the inflation hasn't gone to beyond the moon, $8 per vote is kind of substantial. It could mean one full good meal or two. Well, I could in fact sustain my children by upvoting their post in place of feeding them from my own pocket!

Just imagine what can your upvotes do to those people who asks you about Hive then. I could be very popular among them, I imagine.

Just imagine if you have a large following by then, and you are still growing your account in HP? You are literally sitting on a pile of perpetual wealth!

Ok, its time to return to reality.

My takeaway from this thought exercise is that what we pay with a small price today could be worth a lot later if Hive does follow the path BTC went. Even if we don't find the actual value something that can be considered as generational wealth, the power or benefit from holding such an account of great worth can be unbelievably life-changing!

Not to forget... more people could still be buying Hive, and more could still be asking you about Hive. And Hive ecosystem is still developing further.

Are you well-positioned for this reality?

Shhhhh.....
