While it's certainly true that money is the initial motivation for pretty much everyone who looks into crypto, that doesn't necessarily mean its the only motivation. It also doesn't have to be why they stay. I've engaged with a lot of different communities on discord and other places over the last four years and this is the only place I've stayed.

You can certainly focus on the negatives of communities and viewpoints and be "right". They're present wherever you go. Nothing is perfect else everyone would be there. On Hive, you can at least choose the people you interact with. You can "vet" their content and their comments and decide for yourself whether they are worth spending your time on.

This post wasn't necessarily aimed at brand new people. More at the people who have decided they want to be here and taken the required actions to do so, but haven't figured out how to fully engage. There is a lot to be learned here, about more than just crypto and money. And while I agree there is good content on the internet, there is no one there to discuss it with. At least no one who you have any clue as to their motivations anyway. If you get all of your information from the internet, you might as well just walk down the street and start talking to strangers about their opinions. At least then you could look them in the eye while you're talking to them.

In the meantime, last I checked, you don't get any crypto for reading internet articles. In fact, just the contrary. Your information is logged into their computers and you'll be fed advertising and "similar content" ad infinitum. Not really my idea of "good content" "good content" "good content"...... Echo chambers aren't very good for learning.

Thanks for your reply. I appreciate it!
