It's important to have goals but make sure you set "effort" goals as well. You can't necessarily control if and when you reach certain numbers of Hive or Leo or whatever, but you can 100% control the effort you are putting in and the things you are doing to help you become more successful.
Daily commenting on other peoples' blogs is by far the most important thing you can do to help you succeed. That's what I'm doing right now. The benefits are many both tangible and intangible. Being an active part of the community will help you grow in many different ways and will also help the community grow as a whole.
