Will Bitcoin rise sharply by November 16, 2021?

Nach SegWit im Jahr 2017 steht nun im November 2021 das nächste große Upgrade der Bitcoin-Blockchain an. Es ist bereits als „Taproot“ bekannt geworden und hat über drei so genannte Bitcoin Improvement Proposals (BIP) das Ziel, Bitcoin in Sachen Privatsphäre, Sicherheit und Skalierbarkeit stark zu verbessern – also allesamt Features, die zur schnelleren Adoption sowohl bei Privatnutzern als auch bei Institutionellen beitragen können.

Die Nutzer profitieren von günstigeren Transaktionsgebühren und der Möglichkeit, Multisig-Transaktionen und komplexe Smart Contracts.

BIP340 (Schnorr): Zusätzlich zum Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA) von Bitcoin wird ein neues „Schnorr Signatures Scheme“ eingeführt, also ein besseres und gleichzeitig leichtgewichtigeres Signaturverfahren, das die Privatsphäre der Nutzer besser schützen soll.
BIP341 (Taproot): Das namengebende Upgrade baut auf den Schnorr-Signaturen auf und führt so genannte Merklized Alternative Script Trees (MAST) ein. Damit wird eine neue Struktur zur Datenüberprüfung und -synchronisation eingeführt, die Smart Contracts effizienter und gleichzeitig privater machen sollen. Taproot knüpft an SegWit an und hat zum Ziel, Transaktionsgebühren zu senken und Skalierungslösungen wie das Lightning Network (LN) von Bitcoin zu erweitern.
BIP342 (Tapscript): Dieses integriert eine reformierte Version der Bitcoin-Skriptsprache, um die oben erwähnten Schnorr-/Taproot-Transaktionen zu ermöglichen und damit auch zukünftige Bitcoin-Upgrades zu erleichtern

Erwartet wird nun, dass Taproot über einen Soft Fork beim Schreiben von Block 709.632 am 16. November 2021 in Kraft tritt. Die Folgen für die Krypto-Industrie insgesamt sind nicht zu unterschätzen.
