Wait, isn't Bitcoin supply limited to 21 million?

Well, too bad, that means it would never, ever be possible to have a Bitcoin for every time China will ban Bitcoin, simply because it will happen more than 21 million times.

Authoritarian regimes are enforced by rules and regulations. These enforcements may take the form of what we know as "laws", but they are just top to bottom reinforcements (as opposed to democratic regimes, where a certain back and forth between the top and the bottom takes place, nonetheless).

So China will keep banning and un-banning Bitcoin simply because that's the method by which it's transferrable inside that ecosystem. Don't get fooled by their mimicking of stock markets or exchanges. Deep down, beyond those stock markets and exchanges there's always the strong hand of a political decision.

China bans Bitcoin to buy it cheap, then unban it to allow the price to move "freely" again. If you ever followed the trade and tariffs game, it's somehow similar. It's a constant movement in which one of the parties tries to catch the other one with their pants down, so they can be a little bit in advantage. Then the other one does the same. Rinse and repeat.

A certain part of the world economy is centralized. We just have to make peace with it, accept it and act accordingly.

And by act accordingly I mean look back and learn from history. It happened probably hundreds of times before, so it will certainly happen again.

Just mind your own business, and, for fuck's sake, keep your pants on.
