Splinterlands: investor’s dilemma

I was on Twitter and I saw @bulldog1205 earnings on battle reward in the diamond league and I can't help but calculate all the possible earns in a full season. The picture shows that he earns 11sps per battle on splinterlands. If he manages to win 20 battles a day that will be over 2000 Sps at the end of every season. At this rate, playing at diamond league splinterland is very profitable.

We must not forget that playing in the diamond league is not expensive as at this moment because 1k dec is not up to one dollar and to purchase a pack requires 4K dec which means you are buying At a discount plus the cards are very cheap now because of the crypto market season. If you can’t buy packs or buy individual cards then the rental market is for you and you can build from there.

I choose to buy packs

I’m at 450 packs now for chaos legion and I play at the diamond modern league which is not that cost because I have spent just over 2k on packs and I will still buy more because I aim for 600 packs before the packs are sold out. All I want is to compete at the champions level in the champions league because that is where value is. Many people don’t buy the idea of me buying cards and they suggest I invest in a pool for massive rewards.

I’m planning to play splinterlands for the long term and using my nft cards to mint Sps is better based on my understanding. If I keep playing at this rate and I’m winning 2k dec every season I will earn back the money I invest in less than 2years don’t forget that the Sps price can increase and the price of cards can also increase and this comes with less risk.

What I’m saying is…..

For those of us that are still learning how to deal with defi and all the impermanent loss reward pool should be invested in caution, why would invest your hard-earned money on a thing you don’t fully understand is absurd. I love staking Sps and all but if we look at the opportunities that come with playing splinterland rank battle and not just that because at a higher level buying card actually what it but not everybody can afford thousands of dollars to play a game but splinterlands is not just a game anymore.

Splinterlands makes it possible now for people that want to invest but have no time to do so without buying Sps and staking it or buying cards and renting it out and if they understand defi this also has an amazing reward. The investors that have time to play the game should buy packs or cards and play the game which I feel is better.
