As a teenager, I had always though I'd be a millionaire by 25 maximum and spend a whole lot of my adult years following my then passion (public policy) along with several humanitarian contributions. None of those things have been accurate so far as I strut around the fourth decade of my life. I do still harbor dreams of financial independence though, and they are quite tricky to decipher.

Our imaginations run wild in our much younger years. This sense of invincibility, perhaps due to naivety or ignorance about the real World shields us from the much difficult questions that should accompany dreams and aspirations. The question of 'How' is often overlooked at a younger age, and stares with vitrol when we are mature enough to realize this.

Taken aback, we simply fall into a loop where we have no control over how our life plays out when it comes to financial decisions. External circumstances (illness, starting a family, etcetera) could also factor in and leave us with limited options on how to proceed. This leaves a lot of us resigned to our fate after some point, and some people simply don't bother with dreams anymore.

Some get desperate and start trying to force the "How". I spoke of an acquaintance who made some really bad choices (developing a gambling addiction) that cost him his job, got him in debt and almost got him in trouble with the law. The 'How' to the fulfillment of our dreams encompasses a process that naturally flows and is very difficult to bypass.

It might be a fear of the unknown. The 'How' to succeed in many cases can be quite daunting - huge qualifications, capital, insane work ethic, location, privilege amongst others. Imposter syndrome is something I have felt a few times, along with doubts about my ability to perform at a high level. I have built myself over time though to see just how small, conscious strides can be made to excellence in whatever area our focus lies.

Thank you Hive, Thank you Crypto

Again, I really cannot thank Hive enough for literally showing me the power of consistency like no other experience has. The growth, while slow, has been noticeable and am not talking about my Hive assets. I can finally see a route to financial freedom with the 'How' clearly defined, and crypto plays a crucial part in this. What is funny is that it is available to everyone. Even non-crypto routes are more available than ever before.
