Being in the right place at the right time is key in business. It is the most important thing if you like.

Willy Woo just had a tweet that proves very well what I'm saying. Whenever BTC is reaching a higher level, stories from the old days come up, when you could buy a pizza with a few hundreds of BTC.

The opportunity of catching BTS at $1 is long gone, but there are new opportunities every day. Actually there are so many, I have a hard time choosing. Greediness is not in my nature, nor is losing a good deal.

Planning And Reality

At the beginning of the year I made a plan, regarding accumulating tribe tokens and HIVE as well. Then very soon everything has changed.

I remember LBI was selling at 1 LEO at that time, which was a limited opportunity as after some time, the price was raised to 1.2 LEO, as the token value has been growing constantly. LBI was a priority back then as catching a token at an early stage has its advantages. I've been investing in LBI even after the token price went up to 1.2 and very soon it turned out to be the best decision, as after a token holder's vote, LBI has been capped.

Besides these tribe token targets and LBI, my plan was to keep some liquid HIVE to buy Project Blank tokens, after the airdrop, when the dump happens. For those who are new, Project Blank is a project to build a short content platform on our blockchain, something similar to Twitter, but decentralized and tokenized.

The name of the project is (for now) Project Blank, because the official name has not been revealed yet. Initially the project was promised to be released between the end of February and mid March, but due to technical reasons, it has been postponed.

So after releasing Project Blank in March fell through I was left with my liquid HIVE in my wallet. I'm not complaining as having funds is always good and there were other good projects coming.

Then around the beginning of April I think we got CUB DeFi, which was another good project, so my LEO and liquid HIVE was redirected towards the liquidity pools.

After that, we got CUB Life token, which also was too good of a project to be missed, so my liquid LEO and HIVE went to buying CL tokens.

Then when I thought I can finally power up everything I earn from blogging, to increase my HP, a new feature appeared in our HIVE wallet, the 10% HBD saving option. 10% may mean nothing, when compared to what experienced traders can make short term, but compared to bank interest rates, it's 10% more than what banks are paying you, as nowadays you get a negative interest.

So I started redirecting my HBD to savings right after the option became available. I remember I was at 10 HBD in savings and was looking to lock more, when Empo came up with the idea of SEED token. What do you think I did? You're right, I started withdrawing my HBD and buying SEED tokens like there was no tomorrow. Was it a good idea? Of course it was as not only starting from this very day 1 SEED is sold at 1.2 HBD, which is a 20% raise due to token value appreciation, but also there are only 6000 SEED tokens left. One deep pocket can buy it all up in a split second, so my investment in SEED token may come to an end soon.

After I'm done buying SEED tokens, I'm planning to save up my HBD in savings, to get the 10% APR, but don't take everything for granted as if another good project pops up, my priorities and plans will change accordingly.

Sometimes I'm struggling to decide what project to prioritize, but so far I'm ok with my decisions. We're in August and I'm getting dividends from almost all the projects and there's nothing better than watching funds being transferred to your wallet.

Our Huge Advantage

Many are chasing high APR, which often comes at a huge price. Rug pulling is very common and you have to consider the risks before investing.

Our huge advantage is that we "know" these people, as much as you can know someone on the internet. Reputation is key here and I'm not talking about the number next to your username. These project creators have proved themselves and the risk of a rug pull is slim to none.

If I were to choose between our platform and an unknown one, my choice would be obvious.

How Do You Prioritize Your Investments?

Because my investment capital is what I'm earning on this platform, my plan is to keep a healthy balance between my HP and investment. My HIVE stake is very important, so far I've never powered down any of it and I'd like to keep it that way.

Liquidity is what I'm investing and investing early in a project will always be a priority. I'm willing to change my plans as many times as it's needed, nothing is set in stone.

What about you? Do you stick to your original plan or are you flexible when new opportunities knock on your door?
